Bio

Bonnie Harris-Lowe is a game designer and educator from Greenville, SC. As an undergraduate student in the Media Arts program, she was awarded a Magellan Scholarship and the Walt Hanclosky Social Issue Production award for her honors thesis examining the interplay between representation in games, demographics of the games industry, and conduct in the gaming community. As part of her thesis, she made a short film entitled “Fake Geek Girl” which was featured at the Impact Docs and Back in the Box film festivals. Her graduate thesis project, a video game demo called Project Parallel, was featured at DreamHack Dallas and the Southeast Game Exchange in 2024.

As an educator, Bonnie has mentored students interested in game design in educational and professional settings. In 2021, she taught an online section of MART 380 at USC as an adjunct professor. She joined the university full time as an instructor in 2025.
