Alumni Society Career Day

College of Hospitality, Retail and Sport Management students gain valuable networking skills to help them grow their careers while making connections with real industry professionals.

What is Alumni Society Career Day?

HRSM Alumni Society Career Day is a staged networking event where students practice their elevator pitches, learn to make connections and get constructive feedback in a structured environment. The event provides an immersive learning experience where students can develop their networking skills, gain confidence and make real connections. The mock networking event is organized in collaboration with the HRSM Alumni Society and is part of the Marnie Pearce Professionalism Seminar (HRSM 301).

The event is made possible thanks to alumni, friends and industry partners who volunteer their time to serve as networking facilitators and evaluators. Volunteers have the opportunity to help students advance their professional skills while making connections with future young professionals who are pursuing careers in the hospitality, retail, tourism, sport and entertainment management industries.
