Preparing Leaders for the Age of AI

We equip students and organizations with the skills to use AI effectively in real business contexts—combining strong fundamentals with hands-on applications and industry engagement.

How We Approach AI

Our approach to AI is grounded in what matters most in business: sound judgment, strong fundamentals, and the ability to apply new tools effectively and responsibly.

Leading with Purpose

A message from Greg Niehaus, Dean of the Darla Moore School of Business

At the Darla Moore School of Business, we see artificial intelligence as a defining shift in how business works and how it must be taught. We are responding with urgency and intention.

"Our approach is straightforward: we aim to graduate students who can think rigorously and work effectively with AI. That means building the foundational business skills that have always mattered, while developing the judgment to know when and how AI changes the equation. It means faculty who are studying AI's impacts across industries. And it means staying closely connected to the employers and organizations, in South Carolina and beyond, who are navigating this shift in real time.

The work you'll find here reflects that commitment: new courses, new research, and new partnerships aimed at making sure Moore graduates are ready for the roles being created right now. It also includes initiatives designed to help our alumni and regional partners build the skills needed to adapt and lead in an AI-driven economy.

Our goal is to make sure our students are ready to lead in what comes next. We are moving with purpose toward that future — and we invite you to be part of it."
