American Covenant Reading Group

Meets: 3-4 times between Sept. 29 and Nov. 18. Exact schedule to be determined in consultation with interested students.

Led by: Bryan Gentry, Director of Communications, McCausland College of Arts and Sciences

Is the Constitution the cause of America's political challenges or the solution? In American Covenant, the scholar Yuval Levin argues that the Constitution can help America repair its fault lines. This reading group will discuss Levin's insights about American history, political division and constructive disagreement. Participants will be invited to meet Levin during his November 18 visit to USC. Join this group if you are curious about history, politics or engaging debate about how to bring Americans together.

Cornel West and Robert P. George in Conversation

What does disagreement look like when two friends are involved? Find out in this conversation between scholars Cornel West and Robert P. George. They will discuss their longstanding collaborations and their recent book, Truth Matters: A Dialogue on Fruitful Disagreement in an Age of Division, which models intellectual engagement and constructive disagreement. USC students are encouraged to book their seats early.
