Course Description
Numerical approach of solving fluid flow and heat transfer problem; partial differential equations. Discretization methods, finite differences, finite volume methods. Numerical properties of discretization schemes. Diffusive transport, convective transport, waves and oscillations. Scalar representation of the Navier-Stokes equations; incompressible Navier-Stokes solvers.Prerequisite: C or better in EMCH 354 and C or better in EMCH 201 or ENCP 201.GC: 11/28/2022.
